Family Announces Burial Date for Late Gospel Singer Aduke Gold

The family of the late Nigerian gospel singer, Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold, has officially announced the date for her burial. Aduke Gold, who passed away on August 12, 2024, after a brief battle with cervical cancer, will be laid to rest following a series of ceremonies organized by her family.

The burial arrangements will begin with a candlelight vigil on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Ayonleye Primary School, Idiogbon Bus-stop, College Road, Ifako Ijaiye, Ogba, Lagos. The following day, Thursday, August 22, 2024, an artist night will be held to celebrate her life and contributions to gospel music. The final rites will take place on Friday, August 23, 2024, with a lying-in-state and burial service at Lagos Africa Church Grammar School, College Bus-stop, College Road, Ogba, Lagos.

The family expressed their sorrow and submission to God’s will in a statement announcing her death and the subsequent burial plans. Aduke Gold’s untimely passing has deeply saddened her fans and colleagues in the gospel music industry, many of whom have shared their condolences and memories of the beloved singer.

Her brother, Pastor Ajayi Aderogbo, also addressed the rumors surrounding her death, clarifying that Aduke Gold died of cervical cancer at the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan.
