Blessing recounted the harrowing ordeal she and her husband, Joshua Eze, had endured, as they were ambushed by unidentified assailants while returning home. Tragically, Joshua was abducted by the assailants and taken to an undisclosed location.

In a parallel incident unfolding on January 28, at around 05:30 am, Peter Ede and ThankGod Ogunyi, both residents of Piwoyi, Lugbe, approached the Karmo Division with a chilling tale of abduction. According to their account, while engaged in prayers atop the Idu Gbagyi mountain in Karmo around 01:50 am, they fell victim to a ruthless gang of seven armed criminals who seized three members of their group and vanished into the night.

Upon receiving the distressing report, police operatives under the leadership of CSP Abaya Haruna, the Divisional Police Officer at Karmo Division, sprang into action without hesitation.
