Femi Adebayo’s ‘Jagun Jagun’ Bags Seven Nominations at AMAA 2024

The Africa Movie Academy Awards (AMAA) has unveiled its nominations for the 2024 edition, with Nollywood star Femi Adebayo securing seven nominations for his movie, Jagun Jagun. The nominations were announced during a press briefing at Sheraton Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos, as part of the 20th AMAA celebrations themed ‘Celebrating African Creativity.’ The award ceremony will take place on November 2, 2024, at Balmoral Hall, Sheraton, Ikeja.

Jagun Jagun stands alongside other notable films, such as Uche Okocha’s The Weekend, which earned 16 nominations, demonstrating the Nigerian film industry’s strength at this year’s event. Adebayo’s work has been recognized in categories including Best Achievement in Production Design, Best Achievement in Visual Effects, and Best Actor in a Supporting Role.

The full nominee list reveals a broad representation of African films across multiple genres, languages, and categories, highlighting the diversity of talent in the continent’s movie industry.
