Filmmaker addresses misogyny in new movie
An actress and producer, Fisayo Ajisola-Borokinni, says that her new movie titled, Singleness is Bliss, addresses the issue of misogyny in society.
The film, which was shot partly in Lagos, Nigeria; and the United Kingdom, parades a stellar cast of actors, such as Jide Kosoko, Sola Sobowale, Bimbo Akintola, Sanyeri, Saka and Mr Macaroni.
Speaking about the movie, Ajisola-Borokinni, said, “The story is all about happenings in society. The movie addresses misogyny. It is an encompassing work full of suspense and societal issues. I believe it is a movie everyone will relate to. I am convinced that this production has a lot of great lessons that would help anyone that comes across it.
“We have produced a film of high quality in terms of the technicalities, equipment, and cast and crew. The main focus is to engage my fans, foster my career, and contribute my quota in the industry. I have bigger plans and I know God will help me achieve my dreams.”
The filmmaker, who is also known for her philanthropic activities through the Jewel Empowerment Foundation, thanked all involved in the project’s success and expressed confidence that the movie marks a significant achievement in her career.
Speaking on his part in the movie, Kosoko said, “I found the work very interesting, as it blended the value of tradition and trends. I was also impressed to see the experts and the sophisticated equipment involved in the production.”
