Finally, Gareth Bale Confirmed to Leave Real Madrid at End of Season

Carlo Ancelotti has revealed that forward Gareth Bale will leave the club this summer when his contract expires.

The Welshman has endured an injury-plagued season, making only four La Liga outings and appearing for Ancelotti’s side for the first time since August on Saturday.

Bale will be anxious to regain health ahead of Wales’ World Cup qualifiers in March, and will now be looking to cap off his time at the Bernabeu in the best possible fashion.

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano reported Ancelotti as saying: “Bale has been injured and then his contract expires – he may not have had the best motivation, but he wants to go on a high note. It’s critical for Bale to have a successful conclusion to his career here.”

The 32-year-old returned to the Premier League last season on loan with Tottenham Hotspur, and his next transfer is speculated to be another return to the Lilywhites.
