Flavour Explains Why He’s Not Ready for Marriage

Nigerian musician Chinedu Okoli, known by his stage name Flavour, recently opened up about his decision to stay single in an interview on Bounce. The acclaimed artist discussed his views on relationships and marriage, revealing that his current lifestyle and personal choices play a significant role in his stance.

Flavour candidly shared, “I love knacking girls in the hotel more than marriage,” highlighting his preference for a more liberated lifestyle. He emphasized the importance of self-awareness, explaining, “You have to be that person for yourself first, and when you are done with yourself, you can now start looking for a wife or husband. I’m not in that mental state to accommodate a wife right now.”

In the interview, Flavour spoke about his struggles with commitment and how his personality traits might impact a potential relationship. He admitted, “If I tell myself I’m looking for a wife now, I will fail. Any girl that is coming my way I will disappoint her. My character will deal with her and it will not work out.”

Flavour expressed a desire to avoid treating women poorly, stating, “My character is not fair to women, that’s why I try as much as possible to remain single. The worst thing you can do is to treat a woman badly and I don’t want to do that.”

Reflecting on his lifestyle and experiences, Flavour acknowledged his appreciation for marriage but reiterated his preference for his current way of living. “When I look at the hotel and I look at beautiful marriages, I really like it but I like the hotel more because the Ashawo in me is on another level,” he added.
