However, her breakout role in the 2008 hit movie “Jenifa” propelled her into the spotlight, making her one of Nollywood’s biggest stars. The massive success of the film led to the spin-off TV series “Jenifa’s Diary”, which further cemented her position in the industry.
As a versatile actress, producer, and director, Funke Akindele has earned multiple awards, including several Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards for Best Actress in a Comedy.
