Ghana Reopens Land, Sea Borders
Ghanaian President, Nana Akufo-Addo on Monday announced the re-opening of land and sea borders as the country eased most of its COVID-19 restrictions.
On Monday, Akufo-Addo announced this in a statewide address.
The decision was made after the president reviewed the steps that would aid in the fight against COVID-19.
“From today, the wearing of face masks is no longer mandatory.
“All in-person activities, including religious gatherings, conferences, workshops, and funerals, may resume at full capacity if the audience and participants are fully vaccinated.
“Fully vaccinated travelers will be allowed entry through the land and sea borders without a negative PCR (polymerase chain reaction) test result from the country of origin.
