Ghanaian Referee Collapses While Officiating AFCON Qualifier

Ghanaian referee, Charles Bulu, lost consciousness while officiating an African Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier between Cote d’Ivoire and Ethiopia on Tuesday.

It was learnt that Bulu was originally designated 4th official but had to step in after compatriot Daniel Laryea withdrew due to COVID.

The incident occurred in the 80th minute of the match that Ivory Coast won 3-1 at the Stade Olympique Alassane Ouattara, Abidjan.
