Glo sponsored show brings Nigerian, Ivorien sculptors

A Nigerian and an Ivorien who use metal and wood to make creative designs are to discuss their stories in this week’s edition of CNN African Voices.

Nigeria’s telecommunications operator, Globacom, who sponsored the show, said in a statement that both sculptors on Saturday would boost the firms’ tradition of showcasing Africans who were making great impact on the continent.

“The duo are Nigeria’s Dotun Popoola who has a penchant for fabricating discarded metals into eye popping sculptures and Jems Koko Bi, an Ivorien who finds use for fallen trees by turning them into spectacular carvings”.

The two sculptors were described as educated and professionally trained curators and carvers.
