Gospel Singer Aduke Gold Passes Away After Battle with Illness

Nigerian gospel singer Aduke Ajayi, popularly known as Aduke Gold, has tragically passed away. The heartbreaking news was shared on Tuesday by fellow gospel artist Esther Igbekele, who announced Aduke’s death in a poignant Facebook post.

Aduke Gold, who was 34 years old, had been battling an illness for the past two months before she passed away on Monday at the University College Hospital in Ibadan. The exact nature of her illness has not been disclosed.

Esther Igbekele expressed her grief with a heartfelt post featuring an image of Aduke Gold accompanied by the words “Rest in Peace.” This news comes as a significant loss to Nigeria’s entertainment industry, which has already faced several tragedies this year.

Aduke Gold was best known for her hit song “Nitori Ogo,” which resonated deeply with her audience due to its emotional depth and spiritual message. Her music earned her a dedicated following and widespread acclaim.

Born on March 16, 1990, Aduke Gold held a degree in History and International Relations from Lagos State University. She furthered her education with diplomas in Montessori education and Child Psychology. Besides her music career, Aduke was also the CEO of MatGold Pastries and MatGold Bamini Montessori Schools, demonstrating her passion for both education and entrepreneurship.
