Governor Fubara Mourns Tragic Loss of Dr. Herbert Wigwe: Calls for Preservation of Legacy

Governor Siminalayi Fubara of Rivers State expressed profound shock and sorrow over the tragic passing of Dr. Herbert Wigwe, his wife Chizoba, son, and others in a devastating helicopter crash in California, USA.

In a statement released by Boniface Onyedi, Senior Special Assistant on Media, Governor Fubara described the incident as a “monumental disaster” and extended heartfelt condolences to the bereaved Wigwe family on behalf of his family, the state government, and the people of Rivers State.

Fubara emphasized the enormity of the loss, stating that both the state and Nigeria would mourn the departure of an unassuming, iconic, and accomplished son of Isiokpo in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State.
