Halima Abubakar Cries Out for Help Amid Financial and Health Struggles
Popular Nollywood actress Halima Abubakar has made an emotional plea for assistance, revealing her ongoing struggles with health and finances. During a recent Instagram Live session, she shared her distress, stating that she has been living in her village for over a year due to her condition.
Halima explained that she avoids posting unfiltered images of herself online because she does not want people to see her real situation. She expressed frustration over accusations that she is faking her illness, even from those she once considered close friends.
“Good morning. People are confused about what is going on. This is me, but every day I post a picture with a filter because I don’t want to show how I look. Some of you say I’m lying, but why would I lie about being sick? I went to the biggest hospital in Nigeria,” she lamented.
The actress further revealed that she has been reaching out to various people for help, as she is unable to work and has exhausted her resources. She noted that despite selling her three cars, she still struggles to afford her medical expenses.
“The whole of Nollywood doesn’t talk to me. I go from DM to DM trying to see who will help me. I was rich; I sold my three cars. My best friend even says I’m lying about my condition. Do you want me to die? Do you want me to kill myself?” she added.
Halima’s emotional revelation has sparked widespread reactions, with many Nigerians expressing concern and sympathy for her situation.
