How Nollywood Helped Me To Trace My Nigerian Roots – Brandi, US Based Film Producer
An African American film producer and real estate entrepreneur, Brandi Callum has expressed her love for Nigerian movies, revealing how the movies helped her to trace her roots to the country. Brandi who is based in Atlanta, Georgia, made this revelation while speaking virtually during a colloquium held in honour of the popular film director, Lancelot Imasuen by the management of Igbinedion University, Okada, Edo State. According to her, a DNA test conducted on her revealed that she’s a Nigerian. Brandi described Nollywood movies as ‘awesome’ adding that “watching them have helped to change her life for the better.” A prolific writer, film producer and director, Brandi is the CEO of Nolly Peach Productions whose passion is working with Nollywood film makers to tell their stories. She said her mission is to bring out the best in Nollywood in collaboration with Georgia filmmakers.
