How Yoruba Nation Can Be Achieved Without Bullet – Sunday Igboho

Sunday Adeyemo, also known as Sunday Ighoho, a Yoruba nation agitator, has advocated for peace, claiming that the struggle may be won without the use of force.

Igboho, who was just released from detention in the Benin Republic, claimed this in a statement prepared and made accessible to the press on Thursday by his counsel, Yomi Alliyu.
According to the statement, Igboho, who urged his followers to remain calm, vowed not to give up the fight for self-determination, thanking those who worked tirelessly to secure his release from detention.

Ignoho explained that self-determination can be better achieved through dialogue instead of war, citing the ongoing war in Ukraine and the violence in some parts of Southeast.

“He continues to preach against war, seeing what is happening in Ukraine and some parts of Igboland in Nigeria. He implored all, especially his kinsmen at home and in the diaspora, to embrace dialogue in their quest for self-determination without heating up the very fragile situation in Nigeria.
“He believes that their ambition will be achieved without firing a bullet as he used to say at rallies,” the statement read.

The activist appreciated Chief Dele Momodu for being the only Yoruba man of note who visited him in Cotonou prison prior to his release.
