In a somber announcement, it has been confirmed that legendary actor M Emmet Walsh, renowned for his roles in classics like Blade Runner and Knives Out, has passed away at the age of 88.

The veteran American actor breathed his last following a cardiac arrest at Kerbs Memorial Hospital in St Albans, Vermont, as revealed by his manager.

Over the span of his illustrious six-decade career, Walsh left an indelible mark on cinema, captivating audiences with his diverse performances. He notably portrayed Harrison Ford’s authoritative LAPD superior in Sir Ridley Scott’s seminal sci-fi masterpiece, Blade Runner, back in 1982.
