“It’s Going To Happen” – UFC Heavyweight Champion Accepts Tyson Fury’s Challenge
Tyson Fury’s high profile challenge towards UFC heavyweight title holder Francis Ngannou on social media has gotten a response, with Ngannou to confirm that the fight would inevitably happen.
We have witnessed several crossover fights from the world of MMA and Boxing in recent pastt, with Floyd Mayweather Jr and Conor McGregor being the highest profile combat eventtt in recent past.
However, there is an expectation that any bout between the heavyweight champion of the world in boxing and the heavyweight champion of the world in MMA could surpass that.
According to the Cameroonian champion ‘Ngannou’ in an interview with DAZN he said “Yes, I think the fight will happen, I think Tyson Fury wants that fight to happen too, so it is inevitable and will happen at some point”.
“I cannot say specifically when, but I’m sure it will happen. We are both willing to make that fight happen.”
It is unclear how such a bout would be promoted, especially with the UFC keen to retain control of Ngannou’s image and promotion, especially witth Fury and anthony Joshua bout still in contention in what would go down as the biggest heavyweight clash in the millennium.
