JAMB Begins Direct Entry Registration Nationwide from February 28

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has commenced the sale of Direct Entry (DE) Forms across the nation and in selected foreign centers, according to a statement by the board’s spokesman, Fabian Benjamin.

The sale of forms is open to foreign candidates interested in pursuing tertiary education in Nigeria through the Direct Entry mode. Benjamin emphasized the board’s commitment to ensuring a fair process for all candidates, regardless of their status.

JAMB stated that it will not process applications from awarding institutions that have failed to verify A’level certificates presented by candidates for the 2023 admission. Candidates who are not awaiting results are required to upload their A’level qualifications, O’level results, and DE registration template during registration. No DE candidates will be processed for admission until their claimed results are uploaded and verified by the awarding institutions on the Board’s Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS) mail platform.

For DE candidates awaiting A’level results of IJMB/JUPEB/NABTEB, the Board requires the uploading of their Admission Letter and Registration Template during registration. Applicants with Cambridge certificates of the pre-2018 examination year are advised to verify their certificates directly with Cambridge.

JAMB also provided a window for upgrading from UTME to DE, specifically for candidates whose DE results were not released at the point of UTME registration and who indicated during registration that they were awaiting A-level results.

The registration process will commence on Wednesday, February 28, 2024, and will close on Thursday, March 28, 2024. Prospective candidates are encouraged to adhere to the registration guidelines provided by JAMB to ensure a smooth process.
