JAMB Reschedules 2025 Mock UTME to April 10
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a rescheduling of the 2025 Mock UTME, shifting the date from April 5 to April 10, 2025. This adjustment, according to JAMB’s Corporate Communications Adviser, Fabian Benjamin, was made to allow for thorough preparations and the incorporation of various innovations aimed at enhancing the examination experience. The board also stated that the change was necessary to accommodate an increased number of examination centers for the 2025 session.
JAMB emphasized that the mock examination serves as a preparatory test for candidates ahead of the main Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). It is designed to familiarize candidates with the computer-based testing (CBT) environment and help them assess their readiness. The decision to reschedule is part of JAMB’s broader effort to ensure a seamless and efficient examination process, aligning with global best practices and the latest research on examination methodologies.
Candidates who registered for the mock exam are urged to stay informed about further updates regarding the printing of their Mock Notification Slips. These slips will provide essential details, including examination centers and other relevant instructions. Despite the change in the mock exam date, the main UTME remains scheduled to commence on April 25, 2025, as originally planned.
