Joe Aribo Eager To Score More for Rangers
Joe Aribo says he is glad to score a goal for Glasgow Rangers and wants to carry on doing the same until the end of the season.
Rangers maintained their 100 percent Scottish Premiership home record following a hard-fought 2-1 win over Hibernian at Ibrox on Sunday
Aribo however scored one of the two goals that earned the Gers three points against visiting Hibernian.
Aribo who was pulling the strings from midfield had efforts from long-range fly over the bar on 19 minutes, before eventually scored a few minutes later.
Hibs goalkeeper Ofir Marciano made a double save from Alfredo Morelos and Roofe before Joe Aribo finally beat him with a volley from 12 yards.
“It has been a long time coming, I want to keep scoring goals every single game I play and I’m happy for myself that I could get the opening goal for the team. It’s a nice finish and I just watched it. I’m just glad that I scored.” Aribo told Rangers TV after the game.
Ryan Kent added scored the second in the second half with a classy strike after dancing away from the attempted tackles before, from 25-yards, blasting a powerful curling drive beyond Marciano.
” It was a good goal from Ryan, although, we had some good moments, we got into the penalty box and we just need to be a bit more clinical and make sure the final pass is up to standard to get the goals.”
“It was a big disappointment not to get a clean sheet, but we stay strong and keep fighting” Aribo concluded.
