John Cena Reveals His Biggest Fear: Not Being Ready for Parenthood
American actor and wrestler John Cena recently opened up about his biggest fear: not being prepared to be a great parent. The 47-year-old star, who has been married twice but does not have any children, shared his thoughts on the subject during an interview with Club Shay Shay.
Cena admitted that he doesn’t feel ready, and perhaps never will, to dedicate the time required to be an exceptional parent. “My biggest fear is I don’t think I’m personally ready, nor will I ever be, to invest the time it takes to be a great parent,” Cena confessed. “Because I still have a lot to do, and I still want to do a lot.”
He emphasized the importance of having a partner who shares the same values, adding, “I have a wonderful partner; we’ve had open conversations about this. We share the same values.” Cena acknowledged that discussing such personal matters often leads to judgment, but he believes in living life on one’s own terms. “Human nature, we are all judgmental. But I operate under the construct that everyone is okay living their lives,” he said. “I’m very happy with where I stand. I’ve a lot of joy and fulfillment in my life.”
John Cena’s first marriage to Elizabeth Huberdeau began on July 11, 2009, and ended in divorce on July 18, 2012. He later married Shay Shariatzadeh in a private ceremony in Tampa, Florida, on October 12, 2020, after dating since early 2019. Neither marriage resulted in children.
