Kanye West Urges Donald Trump to Pardon Diddy Amid Legal Battle
Controversial rapper Kanye West has publicly called on former U.S. President Donald Trump to pardon music mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs, who is currently in jail facing serious charges.
Diddy is embroiled in legal troubles, with over 30 civil lawsuits alleging sexual assault and misconduct. He is presently being held in a New York jail, awaiting trial on federal charges, including sex trafficking and racketeering.
Taking to his X page on Thursday, Kanye West made a direct appeal to Trump, writing, “@realDonaldTrump, please free my brother Puff.”
Homeland Security arrested Diddy in September last year on charges related to sex trafficking, racketeering conspiracy, and interstate transportation for prostitution. Despite denying all allegations and pleading not guilty on September 17, his bail requests have been denied twice.
Recently, reports surfaced that Diddy suffered a knee injury and was rushed to a Brooklyn hospital for treatment before being returned to his cell. His highly anticipated trial is set to take place later this year.
West’s plea has sparked debate online, with some supporting his call for leniency while others argue that the justice system should take its course. Meanwhile, Diddy remains behind bars as he prepares to fight the charges against him.
