Keyamo Says Tinubu’s 2027 Re-election Is a Done Deal

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development,  Festus Keyamo, has expressed confidence that President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027 is already secured. Speaking in Ughelli, Delta State, Keyamo predicted that the ruling People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in the state would also lose power in the next election.

Keyamo made the statement during a reception for Great Ogboru, who recently rejoined the All Progressives Congress (APC) after running as the 2023 governorship candidate under the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA). He praised Ogboru for his strong grassroots support and sustained political influence, noting that his leadership remained solid despite not having federal backing.

According to Keyamo, the APC’s loss in Delta State during the 2023 elections was due to internal divisions and the departure of key stakeholders. However, he assured party members that the reconciliation efforts led by Olorogun Otega Emerhor and other party leaders had restored unity, positioning the APC for victory in the next polls.

Keyamo urged party members to continue supporting the leadership structure in Delta, emphasizing that the APC belongs to everyone and not a single individual. He reaffirmed the party’s commitment to collective leadership and reconciliation, highlighting that Tinubu had given the mandate to strengthen the party in the state.

In his remarks, Ogboru expressed joy at returning to the APC, describing it as a home they all built together. He emphasized the need for unity to strengthen the party’s chances of taking over Delta State and bringing development to its people.

The event was attended by several APC leaders, including Delta APC Chairman Chief Omeni Sobotie, Chief Otega Omerhor, Hon. Francis Waive, and representatives of Senator Ede Dafinone, ex-Governor James Ibori, and Godsday Orubebe.
