Kwam1 Denies Marital Crisis Rumors as ‘Fabricated Lies’
Renowned Fuji music icon, King Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as KWAM 1, has vehemently refuted recent online speculations hinting at turmoil in his marital life.
The rumors, initially disseminated by the controversial blog, Gistlovers, purported marital discord between Kwam1 and his wife, Emmanuella Ropo.
According to the unverified reports, allegations swirled around an alleged extramarital affair involving Emmanuella’s friend, Folake Ibile, and their family’s female chef. It was suggested that Emmanuella discovered this supposed infidelity through CCTV footage capturing Folake’s visits during her absence, leading to a heated confrontation.
However, in a comprehensive statement issued through his publicist, Kunle Rasheed, Kwam1 categorically denied the authenticity of these claims, denouncing them as fabricated lies aimed at tarnishing his reputation and disrupting his household’s tranquility.
The veteran musician clarified that there is no truth to the accusations of an affair with Folake Ibile or any other woman, including the family’s alleged female chef. He firmly asserted that he has never engaged in romantic relationships with either individual.
Moreover, Kwam1 dispelled the notion of any association with someone named Mariam Aneko’s sister, stressing that such assertions are entirely fictional and baseless.
Addressing the alleged connection with Folake Ibile, Kwam1 emphasized that any perceived correlation is purely coincidental, as Folake is happily married to another individual.
In his statement, Kwam1 reassured the public of the solidity of his marriage to Emmanuella, highlighting their recent celebration of his 67th birthday in March 2024 as evidence of their unwavering bond and harmony.
The statement, released on Wednesday, reads:
“False rumors maliciously targeting K1’s relationship with his beloved wife, Emmanuella, have been circulated by blogs. This fabricated statement is entirely baseless and orchestrated by those seeking to create chaos.
“First and foremost, K1 is not involved in a relationship or affair with any society woman. Furthermore, there is no truth to the claim of K1 being in a relationship with a female chef; such allegations are unfounded and purely fictional, as he does not even have and has never had a female chef.
“Additionally, the assertion regarding Folake Ibile’s marital status with K1 is utterly false. They simply share a coincidental surname, and Folake Ibile is happily married to another individual.
“Lastly, the notion of K1 dating Mariam Aneko’s sister is entirely fabricated and lacks any substance. Let it be clear: K1 and his wife enjoy a strong and harmonious marriage, untouched by the lies and rumors spread by malicious sources.
“They are deeply devoted to each other, and any insinuation of discord is completely unfounded. K1 turned 67 on the 3rd of March 2024 and he and his stunning wife shared the day together in love and harmony in a low key ceremony.”
