Mohbad’s Brother Adura Arrested Outside Lagos Court Amid Family Outcry
Adura Aloba, the younger brother of the late singer Mohbad, has been arrested by the police under controversial circumstances. Reports indicate that he was taken into custody alongside two others on Wednesday as he was leaving the Lagos State Magistrates Court in Ogba. His sudden arrest has sparked concern among his family members and supporters.
In a viral video shared on social media, Mohbad’s mother, Abosede Aloba, emotionally called for public support, claiming her son was taken away by unknown gunmen suspected to be law enforcement officers. She accused popular Nollywood actor and rights activist Yomi Fabiyi of being involved in the arrest, further intensifying the case controversy.
“Please help me, people of God! It’s Yomi Fabiyi. They have taken away my son, Adura, and I don’t know where they are taking him. The gunmen kidnapped him after the court sitting,” Abosede cried out. She expressed fear for Adura’s safety, insisting that he was innocent and should not be harmed in any way.
According to her, the real culprit in the ongoing case had already confessed, making Adura’s arrest unnecessary. She specifically mentioned that Yomi Fabiyi and another individual, Sam Jojo, were behind her son’s ordeal. “Adura is innocent, Nigerians, please stand by me. They must not lay a hand on my son. They must not beat him because he is sick,” she pleaded.
Sources revealed that Adura was in court due to a legal dispute involving a phone he sold to a man named Damola Ayinde. Allegedly, Adura had accused Ayinde and Fabiyi of misusing the phone to damage his reputation by hacking into his TikTok account. The situation escalated, leading to tensions between the parties involved.
The sudden nature of Adura’s arrest has raised questions, with many supporters of the Aloba family calling for transparency in the case. Some have expressed concerns about possible intimidation and the motives behind his detention, urging the authorities to handle the situation fairly.
As the controversy unfolds, many Nigerians are closely following the case, hoping for a resolution that ensures justice for all parties involved. With Mohbad’s tragic death still fresh in public memory, his family continues to face new challenges, leaving many to wonder what will happen next.
