Mohbad’s Widow Wunmi Accuses Yomi Fabiyi of Incitement and Defamation
Wunmi, the wife of late singer Mohbad, has publicly called out actor Yomi Fabiyi, accusing him of inciting hatred against her and defaming her character.
During an interview on Arise News TV, Wunmi expressed frustration over Fabiyi’s alleged role in tarnishing her reputation since he joined the Justice for Mohbad movement. She claimed that the actor had been using an old video of a disagreement between her and Mohbad to fuel negative narratives against her.
According to Wunmi, Fabiyi has repeatedly called for her arrest and labeled her a murderer, even making defamatory remarks about her son. She alleged that he had exploited the situation for financial gain, reportedly collecting over ₦10 million through public donations.
She further expressed concern over the lack of protection for widows facing public scrutiny and accused Fabiyi of being misogynistic. “He has been inciting the public against me with baseless allegations. I pity the women in his life; he hates me for no reason,” she lamented.
The controversy surrounding Mohbad’s death continues to draw attention, with new accusations adding to the ongoing debate.
