NBA YoungBoy Released from Prison After Legal Battles

American rapper Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, widely known as NBA YoungBoy, has been released from federal prison amid ongoing legal challenges. Reports confirm that he was freed on Monday, March 24, 2025, following a series of legal proceedings.

The news was first shared by DJ Akademiks, a well-known Jamaican-American podcaster, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to announce YoungBoy’s release. “Looks like NBA YOUNGBOY has been released from federal prison and either transferred to a halfway house or is headed home,” he posted.

YoungBoy’s legal troubles have been widely followed, with the rapper initially sentenced to 27 months on federal charges. In 2024, he entered a no-contest plea for 36 additional charges, which could have significantly extended his sentence. However, due to a plea deal, Judge Spencer Walsh reduced his felony charges to Class A misdemeanors and imposed a $25,000 fine instead.

Fans have expressed relief and excitement over his release, with many speculating on his next moves in the music industry. NBA YoungBoy, known for his devoted fanbase, is expected to address his legal struggles in his upcoming projects.
