The Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers (NCRIB) is working to strengthen its connections with the entertainment industry by participating in the 2024 roundtable forum held in Lagos. This event brought together key figures from the film sector, including producers, exhibitors, and distributors. The forum, themed “Morality and Ethics,” served as a significant platform for discussion among industry stakeholders, including the National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB), the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), and the NCRIB.
During the forum, Prince Babatunde Oguntade, the President of NCRIB, highlighted the crucial role of insurance in the film industry. He explained how film industry professionals can fully leverage insurance services provided by registered insurance brokers across Nigeria. Oguntade emphasized the importance of insurance in protecting the interests of those involved in film production and distribution, ensuring they are covered against potential risks.

Notable attendees included the renowned comedian Ali Baba and Mr. Ayo Oyewole, the Lagos Director of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Corporate Service. These interactions underscore NCRIB’s commitment to fostering strong relationships within the entertainment industry and highlighting the value of insurance in this dynamic field.
By participating in the forum, NCRIB aims to enhance its visibility and influence within the entertainment sector. The discussions at the event are expected to pave the way for greater collaboration and understanding between insurance professionals and the film industry, ultimately benefiting both sectors.
