Nedu Denies Being Fired From The Honest Bunch Podcast, Says He Left Due to Personal Attacks
Media personality Nedu has set the record straight regarding his departure from The Honest Bunch podcast, stating that he was not fired but chose to step down after facing personal attacks.
His exit became a topic of discussion following an episode featuring reality TV star Deeone, who made allegations against social media critic VeryDarkMan. The episode’s controversy sparked speculation about Nedu’s role on the show.
During a press briefing in Lagos, Nedu explained that he decided to leave to protect himself from escalating personal attacks. He stressed that his primary role on the podcast was to facilitate difficult conversations, but the backlash had become overwhelming.
Clarifying the situation, he said, “Let me clarify that I wasn’t fired from The Honest Bunch Podcast. I decided to step away when the attacks became personal. So that the show can go on.”
Despite stepping down, Nedu maintains that he has no regrets about featuring Deeone on the show. He has previously stated that his aim has always been to create meaningful discussions, even when they spark controversy.
In a related development, Nedu was recently announced as one of the hosts for the 2025 African Creators Summit alongside comedian Real Warri Pikin. His continued presence in the media space suggests that he remains committed to his career despite recent challenges.
Meanwhile, Nedu has also addressed claims that he harbors negative views about women, emphasizing that his podcast discussions are often misunderstood. He insists that his focus is on honest conversations rather than personal bias.
