Netflix Secures 50 Cent’s Explosive P Diddy Documentary After Intense Bidding War

After months of speculation and rumors, it has been confirmed that Netflix has acquired the rights to 50 Cent’s highly anticipated documentary series about P Diddy, following a fierce bidding war among streaming platforms.

50 Cent’s Revelations and Diddy’s Legal Troubles

P Diddy, whose real name is Sean Combs, is currently embroiled in multiple lawsuits accusing him of sexual and physical violence, rape, and sex trafficking. Federal agents and US Homeland Security raided his homes in March as part of these ongoing investigations.

One of the most vocal critics of Diddy during this period has been rapper 50 Cent, whose real name is Curtis James Jackson III. He has continuously used his social media platforms to critique his rival amid these allegations.

The Origin of the Documentary

Back in March, a fake poster for a Netflix docu-series titled “Diddy Do It?” circulated online, with 50 Cent sharing the post and claiming, “This is gonna break records when this drop.” Although initially thought to be a joke, it turns out the project was real. According to a report by TMZ on May 21, the rights to the multi-part documentary were acquired by Netflix after a heated competition with other streaming services.

50 Cent confirmed the news by sharing TMZ’s report and adding, “Netflix wins the bidding war but if more victims keep coming out, I’m gonna need more episodes.”

Latest Lawsuit and Documentary Details

The announcement coincides with a new lawsuit filed by Crystal McKinney, accusing Diddy of sexually assaulting her at his New York City recording studio in 2003. Additionally, a video has surfaced showing Diddy attacking Cassie Ventura, who filed a lawsuit against him last November, accusing him of sex trafficking and assault over ten years.

While there is no official release date for the documentary, sources suggest it will be available on Netflix “sooner than later.” The title, “Diddy Do It?,” is yet to be confirmed.

Focus of the Documentary

The documentary will delve into the numerous sexual assault and violence allegations against Diddy and the subsequent federal investigation. The legal troubles began in November 2023 with a lawsuit from Cassie Ventura, who accused Diddy of pulling her into a “fast-paced, drug-fueled lifestyle” and abusing her over a decade.

Further lawsuits include claims from Joie Dickerson-Neal, alleging drugging and sexual assault in 1991, and anonymous accusations of sexual assault in the early ’90s. Additionally, a lawsuit from February 2024 by producer Rodney “Lil Rod” Jones accuses Diddy of orchestrating unwanted advances and holding “sex-trafficking parties.”

Diddy’s Response and Public Reaction

Diddy has denied all allegations, suggesting that his accusers are seeking financial gain. Following the release of the Cassie video, he apologized, expressing disgust at his behavior. However, his apology has been widely criticized, including by 50 Cent, who has been vocal about his disapproval.

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office stated that while the CCTV footage is disturbing, they are unable to press charges as the incident occurred in 2016. In response, 50 Cent remarked, “This is why they put that tape out, they know they can’t charge him with what we saw, but they know we can’t unsee what we saw.”

50 Cent’s Netflix docu-series aims to shed more light on these allegations and promises to provide an in-depth look into the claims dating back decades. With the ongoing legal developments, viewers can expect further revelations as more of Diddy’s victims come forward.
