Nigerian Actor Yusuf Olorungbebe Passes Away After Being on Life Support

Veteran Nollywood actor Yusuf Olorungbebe has sadly passed away after battling a serious illness that left him on life support. The heartbreaking news of his death was shared by actress Foluke Daramola on her verified Instagram page on August 28, 2024. In her post, she wrote, “We lost Yusuf Olorungbebe… We submit to God’s Will. Thank You Everyone!”

Yusuf Olorungbebe’s passing comes just four days after Foluke Daramola first informed the public about his critical condition and asked for financial support to help with his medical expenses. In her initial post, she shared a video showing her with Yusuf while he was on life support in the hospital, pleading for help. She wrote, “I’m here again to plead on behalf of my very esteemed colleague and production manager, Mr. Yusuf Olorungbebe, this is his state as of today presently on life support 🙏🏻 Please no amount is too small for him to live, your support will go a very long way in helping us thanks so much everyone 🙏🏻”

While Yusuf was still in critical condition, Foluke announced that Toke Benson-Awoyinka, the Nigerian Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, had reached out to offer help. She pledged to cover all the outstanding medical bills. In a video posted on August 25, 2024, Foluke expressed her deep gratitude, saying, “I want to specially thank the commissioner for culture and tourism. Out of your busy schedule, you reached out to me and offered to foot all the outstanding medical bills in the hospital and other ones. We appreciate you so much, ma.”

Yusuf Olorungbebe’s death has left a void in the Nollywood community, and many fans and colleagues are mourning the loss of a beloved actor. His passing reminds everyone of the importance of coming together in times of need and supporting one another.
