Nigerian Brothers Play In The NBA Finals For The First Time In History
The NBA (National Basketball Association) is the most popular and watched basketball league in the world. It has the best basketball players from around the world and Nigeria is not left out. Although, most Nigerians playing in the NBA have dual citizenship, they still recognize that they are Nigerians.
This years NBA season is full of shocking experiences, the two teams who are currently playing in the finals are both underdogs. That is not all, it is the first time in the NBA that 2 Nigerian brothers will be playing in an NBA finals. The funny thing is that these brothers are in the same team.
The Nigerian Brothers who are currently playing in the NBA finals are Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo. They were born to Nigerian parents who moved to Greece and they both have Nigerian and Greek citizenship.
They both play for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA. According to hoopshype website, they have a combined annual salary of over $29.2 million. Giannis who is the best player on the team earns $27.5 million dollars and his brother Thanasis earns $1.7 million dollars. You can say that they are earning a lot of money.
It would be a great and wonderful experience to watch these two Nigerians play in the 2021 NBA finals against the Pheonix Suns. Although, they are one game down in the best of 7 game series.
