Nigerian Striker ‘Tolu’ Joins French side Amiens on Loan

Nigerian striker Toluwalase Arokodare has joined French Ligue two side AS Amiens ahead of the 2021-2022 campaign.

The striker joined the club on a season long loan from Latvian Virsliga outfit Valmeira FC.

The French side signed the youngster as a direct replacement for his compatriot Stephen Odey who returned to his parent club, KRC Genk when his loan deal expired.

Tolu scored 22 goals in 32 league games for Valmeira in the 2019–2021 campaign and the form earned him a loan move to German Bundesliga club FC Cologne last season.

The transfer to Cologne didn’t go as planned as he failed to score a goal in any of his 12 appearances in all competitions.

The lanky 20 year old striker is now expected to rediscover his scoring form with Amiens
