Nigerians Celebrate Verydarkman’s Release
Nigerian social media influencer and critic, Martins Vincent Otse, popularly known as Verydarkman, appeared in court today, and the outcome has thrilled his supporters, including famous blogger Tunde Ednut.
Verydarkman was previously charged by the Nigeria Police Force with five counts of cyberstalking. Initially, the police wanted him to be held in prison, but his legal team, which includes Deji Adeyanju, successfully argued for him to be kept in police custody. As a result, he was placed in the National Cybercrime Centre.
Deji Adeyanju also requested bail for Verydarkman. However, the prosecution needed more time to prepare their response, leading Justice Mobolaji Olajuwon of the Federal High Court to reschedule the bail hearing for today, June 10.
This morning, Verydarkman arrived in court with Deji Adeyanju. Many supporters and onlookers were present, eager to hear the latest developments.
