Nigeria’s UK High Commission shut as officials contract COVID-19

The Nigerian Mission in London, United Kingdom, has been closed for 10 days after two officials tested positive for COVID-19.

It was gathered that one or two officers who went to the UK Home Office on Thursday for a meeting , tested positive, which prompted the testing of other Mission Staff resulting in another positive case.

Subsequently, the Mission said it will close down for the next 10 days, “in order to observe the mandatory isolation of those who were in contact with the affected officials”.

This was contained in a statement, titled, “Closure of Nigerian High Commission, London”.
