Nollywood Mourns the Loss of Veteran Actor Mr Ibu

The Nigerian film industry, Nollywood, is in mourning following the demise of veteran actor John Okafor, popularly known as Mr Ibu. The beloved actor passed away at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State after a prolonged battle with illness.

Mr Ibu had been grappling with health challenges, ultimately leading to the amputation of both his legs. The 62-year-old actor was diagnosed with diseased blood vessels, which posed a significant risk to his life.

His family had previously appealed to Nigerians for financial assistance, citing the urgent need for medical intervention due to constant blood clotting in his legs and other health complications.

The passing of Mr Ibu marks the end of an era in Nollywood, leaving behind a legacy of laughter and memorable performances that endeared him to audiences worldwide.
