Nollywood veteran Zack Orji recently shared a harrowing experience of undergoing two brain surgeries in Nigeria after a sudden health scare left him in critical condition.
Orji recounted the ordeal in an interview with Channels TV, revealing that he collapsed in the bathroom, triggering a medical emergency that required immediate intervention.
Stranded for hours before help arrived, Orji credited the grace of God for his survival, emphasizing the crucial role played by his friend Benedict Johnson and colleague Labista in rushing him to the hospital.
The first surgery, performed by neurosurgeon Dr. Biodun Ogungbo, took place on January 1st, followed by a second procedure a month later to address a residual blood clot detected in scans.
Throughout his ordeal, Orji received overwhelming support from prominent figures, including the President of Nigeria, the First Lady, and various ministers, along with countless well-wishers from around the world.
Despite his recovery in Nigeria, Orji was advised to seek post-surgery assessment in the UK, where he consulted with Dr. John Yeh, underscoring the importance of ongoing medical care and gratitude for the outpouring of support he received during his health crisis.
