NUC Approves Seven New Programmes for Maranatha University Lagos

Maranatha University Lagos (MUL) has received approval from the National Universities Commission (NUC) to launch seven new academic programmes, expanding its academic offerings. The newly approved courses include Nursing, Public Health, Health Information Management, Physiotherapy, Law, English, and History and International Relations.

The university, in a statement, revealed that the English and History programmes will be based at its Okota campus, while the other five courses will be available at the new Lekki campus, marking the beginning of these programmes. With the addition of these new fields of study, Maranatha University now offers a total of 27 courses.

The institution, a faith-based university, emphasized that its mission is to provide innovative academic programmes that equip students with knowledge and skills to serve both the nation and humanity. The university’s leadership also noted that Maranatha University’s transition from a provisional licence to a statutory one was made possible after meeting the necessary educational standards outlined in the Educational Acts Cap E3 of 2024.
