Obi Cubana Supports Launch of ‘Next Naija Couple’ Reality Show

Popular Nigerian socialite and entrepreneur, Obinna Iyiegbu, better known as Obi Cubana, has thrown his support behind a groundbreaking reality TV show titled ‘Next Naija Couple’. The show, a collaboration between Quadrangle Media Limited and Cubana Group, aims to redefine modern relationships by promoting authentic love and commitment rooted in African values.

The unveiling of ‘Next Naija Couple’ took place at a lively event held at the EbonyLife Place in Victoria Island, Lagos. Speaking passionately at the event, Obi Cubana highlighted the project’s focus on marriage and morality. He emphasized the significance of hard work, love, and faith in nurturing strong and enduring relationships, despite the challenges posed by social media.

Reflecting on his personal experience, Obi Cubana expressed gratitude that his marriage remains intact, attributing its success to dedicated effort and divine grace. He urged others who share similar values to impart positive ideals to the younger generation through platforms like social media.

Managing Director of Quadrangle Media Limited, Iyke Obi, elaborated on the show’s concept, revealing that ‘Next Naija Couple’ will feature 24 participants—12 men and 12 women—aged between 15 and 35. The contestants will embark on a transformative journey, entering as individuals and emerging as mature adults ready to foster genuine connections.

The reality series, scheduled to premiere on October 6, will air on PopCentral TV (DSTV channel 189) and AIT, with an accompanying app for on-demand viewing. Audiences can anticipate thrilling episodes where participants compete not only for love but also for valuable prizes, including a substantial cash award for the winning couple.

Quadrangle Media aims to redefine narratives around African relationships and marriages, celebrating the continent’s core values and moral principles. Interested applicants can register via the Next Naija Couple website during the six-week registration period, followed by regional auditions to ensure inclusivity.

The star-studded launch event was graced by top entertainers such as AY, who hosted the occasion, alongside Chinedu Ikedizie (Aki) and Charles Novia, underscoring the show’s anticipated impact and broad appeal within Nigeria’s entertainment industry.
