Octogenarian Allegedly Rapes, Impregnates Minor In Osun

An octogenarian, Rafiu Abimbola, has reportedly raped and impregnated a 15 year old girl in Isundunrin, Ejigbo Local Government Area of Osun State. It was gathered that the suspect from Oba compound in the community, allegedly raped the victim on several occasions before she was impregnated. He was also said to have threatened the victim with madness if she revealed the illicit affairs. An eye witness, said the victim was taken to a hospital in Ejigbo town, where the pregnancy test conducted revealed she was four months pregnant. “The family of the victim reported the matter at Ejigbo Police Divisional Headquarters and the suspect was arrested only to be released the same day. The state Police Command spokesperson confirmed the incident, she said that the suspect was arrested for interrogation and “The case is still under investigation as police are determined to unravel the circumstances behind the victim’s pregnancy.”
