Omoni Oboli Says She Never Considered Quitting Her Marriage
Actress and filmmaker Omoni Oboli has opened up about her marriage, revealing that despite challenges, she never considered walking away. In a recent episode of Pulse Fun Facts, she and her husband, Nnamdi Oboli, shared insights into their 24-year union.
The couple, who tied the knot on October 28, 2000, reflected on their journey together, admitting that they faced struggles, especially in the early years. Omoni acknowledged that while she sometimes questioned getting married at a young age, she never thought of ending her marriage.
“I’ve had moments where I was like, ‘Why did I get married so early?’ but never ‘I’m done.’ Ever,” she stated.
She also revealed that their frequent quarrels in the early days were due to not dating before getting married. “When we first got married, we quarreled every single day. It’s because we didn’t date. That first month, we were just getting to know each other well,” she explained.
Her husband, Nnamdi, advised young couples to take marriage seriously, emphasizing that success in marriage requires effort from both partners. “Marriage is a responsibility. You don’t go into a marriage expecting it to happen to you. You are not the third party in your marriage. You are the relationship. It’s between two people; you have to make it work,” he said.
