Ortom backs Buhari’s order on bandits carrying AK-47 rifles
The Benue state governor, on Thursday, commended the President, Muhammadu Buhari for his directive to security agents to shoot anyone illegally bearing AK-47 rifles.
The governor gave the commendation while receiving officials of the State Universal Basic Education in Makurdi.
Ortom said the order would reduce criminality, banditry and militia herders’ attack on Benue communities, as well as other parts of the country.
He noted that Buhari had done the right thing by listening to the calls he and other concerned Nigerians made on the need for Federal Government to act fast and decisively to save the country from degenerating to a state of anarchy.
