Osimhen To Be Out Of Action for 3 Months, To Miss African Nation’s Cup

Nigerian and Napoli striker, Victor Osimhen has been confirmed to be out of action for the next 3 months after suffering a facial injury during an aerial collision in Napoli’s match against Inter Milan on 21st November.

On Tuesday morning, Osimhen was operated on his cheekbone and eye socket by Napoli’s SSC’s Dr. Gianpaolo Tartaro, who was assisted by Dr Mario Santagata with Dr Raffaele Canonico also present.

Titanium plates and screws were used in the operation. It was stated that the player is doing well and will remain under observation for the next few days.

Osimhen is expected to return to action in three months. Sadly he may miss Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier’s playoffs and the CAF’s Nation’s Cup on the international scene
