Otunba Gbenga Daniel Urges Nigerians to Show Understanding, Cites Inherited Economy

Otunba Gbenga Daniel, the Senator representing Ogun East, has appealed to Nigerians to exhibit understanding amid the ongoing economic challenges in the country. He attributed the current economic situation to the “failed economy” inherited by President Bola Tinubu from his predecessor.

Speaking during his tour of the Ijebu-Ode Local Area, Daniel acknowledged the difficulties faced by the populace but emphasized that President Tinubu is diligently working to address the nation’s problems. He noted that Tinubu, for certain reasons, is unable to openly discuss the reality of the economy he inherited.

Daniel assured the people of the area that despite the challenges, there is hope for improvement, urging them to cooperate with the government’s efforts. He expressed confidence that Nigeria would overcome its current predicaments.

As part of his support for the Federal Government, Daniel initiated the monthly distribution of over 12,000 food packs to constituents in his senatorial district, acknowledging the prevailing hunger in the land. Additionally, he distributed empowerment tools such as sewing machines, generators, and grinding machines to empower the people of the area.
