Pastor Adeboye Calls for Divine Intervention Following Killings of Monarchs in Nigeria

Unleashing Divine Retribution

As violence continues to plague Nigeria, particularly targeting traditional rulers, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has issued a solemn decree. During the RCCG’s monthly Holy Ghost Service program titled “From The Mountain Top 2,” Pastor Adeboye commanded divine fire to consume those responsible for the killings of traditional rulers across the country.

Proclamation of Protection

Emphasizing the sanctity of traditional rulers in the eyes of God, Pastor Adeboye asserted that those who dare to harm or disrupt the peace of monarchs will face divine retribution. He declared, “The fire of God will consume all those trying to mess around with our traditional rulers,” underscoring the significance of these leaders as anointed figures in the nation.

Tragic Incidents of Violence

The call for divine intervention comes in the wake of multiple tragic incidents where traditional rulers fell victim to bloodthirsty assailants. Within a span of four days, three monarchs were brutally gunned down, sending shockwaves across the country. Among the victims were the Onimojo of Imojo-Ekiti, Oba Olatunde Olusola, and Oba David Ogunsola of Esun-Ekiti, both slain by gunmen while returning from a meeting in Irele-Ekiti, Ekiti State. Additionally, the Olukoro of Koro, General Segun Aremu (retd), met a similar fate, being fatally shot at his palace in Kwara State.

Escalating Insecurity

These heinous acts highlight the escalating insecurity in Nigeria, where even revered traditional leaders are not spared from violence. The brazen attacks on monarchs underscore the urgent need for decisive action to address the root causes of insecurity and restore peace and stability to affected communities.

Call for Unity and Protection

As Nigeria grapples with the scourge of violence, Pastor Adeboye’s call for divine intervention serves as a rallying cry for unity and protection. It is a reminder of the power of faith and prayer in times of turmoil, urging the nation to come together in seeking divine guidance and protection for its leaders and citizens alike.

In the face of tragedy and uncertainty, Pastor Adeboye’s proclamation resonates as a beacon of hope and resilience, inspiring Nigerians to stand firm in their faith and trust in God’s providence amid adversity.
