Patrick Doyle addresses speculations trailing his remarriage

Actor Patrick Doyle has finally addressed speculations trailing his remarriage to a lady identified as Olufumilayo.

Recall in January, there were claims as well as photos of Patrick in a court wedding ceremony with a woman.

The veteran actor hours ago confirmed and unveiled his new wife, Oluwafunmilayo in a Facebook post to commemorate Mothering Sunday.

The 61-year-old mentioned four women who have played maternal roles in his life, leaving out his former wife and actress Ireti Doyle. He wrote:

“On Mother’s Day We Are Expected To Pay Tribute To Our Mothers And All Women Who Have Played Maternal Roles In Our Lives. In My Case The 4 Women Who Had Acted In That Capacity Towards Me Are My Late Mother Angela Bassey Doyle, My Late Elder Sisters Victoria Doyle, And Ayodeji Alakija As Well As My Late Wife Rosamond Doyle.

“Today To The Glory Of God This Young Lady Has Taken Over That Role &Truth Be Told, I Have Never Been Happier In All My Life. Please Join Me In Thanking God For My New Mother, Friend & Partner For Life Oluwafunmilayo.”

Congratulatory messages immediately flooded his post.

Recall in January, Iretiola Doyle confirmed her divorce from Patrick.

“We are officially divorced,” the Tinsel actress told Chude Jideonwo in an interview.

She also corrected the impression that she had her first child at 17, noting that she was 19 when she became a mother.

Ireti and Patrick Doyle got married in 2004 and have six children together but lost one to sickle cell in 2009.

In 2017, Ireti moved out of the house after an undisclosed dispute with her husband.
