PDP Leaders Ask Jandor to Rethink Resignation
Leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) have appealed to Dr. Abdul-Azeez Olajide Adediran, popularly known as Jandor, to reconsider his decision to leave the party. Jandor, who was the PDP’s governorship candidate in the 2023 elections, recently announced his resignation, citing internal party issues.
A delegation led by PDP National Secretary Ude Okoye, along with key figures such as former National Publicity Secretary Kola Ologbondiyan and former House of Representatives member Shina Peller, met with Jandor in Abuja to persuade him to stay.
According to Jandor’s spokesperson, Gbenga Ogunleye, the delegation acknowledged his concerns but emphasized his importance to the party’s future. They urged him to reconsider his departure, highlighting the need for unity ahead of future elections.
Jandor expressed gratitude for the visit, appreciating the party leaders for their concern and support. However, he reaffirmed his decision to leave the PDP while maintaining his commitment to working with political allies in future endeavors, despite differences in party affiliations.
