PETROAN Confirms Dangote Refinery Still Selling Fuel in Naira

The Petroleum Products Retail Outlets Owners Association of Nigeria (PETROAN) has confirmed that Dangote Refinery has not begun selling petroleum products in dollars, contrary to earlier concerns.

PETROAN President Billy Gillis-Harry clarified that despite speculations about a shift to dollar transactions, the association has not received any formal notification of such changes. He reassured the public that fuel sales remain in naira, emphasizing that Dangote Refinery is not attempting to create panic in the system.

This statement comes amid ongoing discussions about the refinery’s pricing and distribution policies. PETROAN’s confirmation aims to dispel fears of potential disruptions in Nigeria’s fuel market.
