Popular Nigerian Socialite Adebisi Edionseri, Known as ‘Cash Madam,’ Passes Away at 89

Renowned Nigerian socialite and businesswoman Adebisi Edionseri, affectionately called “Cash Madam,” has passed away at the age of 89. She died on Sunday, January 5, 2025, in Abeokuta, Ogun State, after a brief illness.

The sad news was announced by her family, with her son, Dr. Adebayo Adebowale, expressing gratitude to Allah for her remarkable life. In a heartfelt statement, he described her as a “beacon of grace, dignity, and unwavering faith,” emphasizing the profound impact she had on her family and community.

“Her life was a shining example of grace, dignity, and unwavering faith. Princess Edionseri touched the lives of many through her wisdom, kindness, and dedication to both her family and her community. She taught us the importance of love, resilience, and faith in Allah, leaving behind a legacy that will continue to inspire generations,” Adebowale said.

Following Islamic rites, her burial will take place on Monday, January 6, 2025, at 4 p.m. at her residence in the Abeokuta Government Residential Area.
