Portable Announces New EP ‘Chosen One’ After Viral Slang Buzz
Nigerian singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, has announced his upcoming EP titled Chosen One. Taking to Instagram, Portable shared a preview of one of the tracks from the project, which has already generated significant excitement among fans. The teaser features artwork inspired by the viral “I am a Chosen” trend, adding to the buzz surrounding the release.
In the track, Portable, who rose to fame with his hit single Zazoo Zeh, reflects on his financial contributions to religious causes. He claims his support for both Christian and Islamic initiatives would secure him a place in heaven. Singing in a blend of Yoruba and English, Portable boasts about his journey through different churches and his charitable works.
He humorously lists the seven churches he’s attended, stating, “I’ve rang bell for seven churches… I will make heaven.” This bold statement, mixed with his usual raw style, has already sparked widespread discussions on social media.
Portable’s fans are eagerly awaiting the full release of Chosen One, especially after the success of his breakout hit Zazoo Zeh featuring Olamide and Poco Lee in December 2021.
